STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 5282 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY March 7, 2023 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. MORINELLO -- read once and referred to the Committee on Racing and Wagering AN ACT to amend the state finance law, in relation to the sharing of revenue from gaming devices located within the county of Niagara The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 99-h of the state finance law, as added by section 2 3 of part B of chapter 383 of the laws of 2001, is amended by adding a 3 new subdivision 3-b to read as follows: 4 3-b. One million six hundred thousand dollars of any funds actually 5 received by the state pursuant to subdivision two of this section, after 6 transfer to the general fund, shall be transferred to the Niagara county 7 industrial development agency for use to fund downtown economic develop- 8 ment initiatives within the city of Niagara Falls including, but not 9 limited to, the rehabilitation of buildings, installation of signage, 10 training of existing or new employees in techniques related to their 11 industry, and installation of appropriate industry related machinery, 12 but shall not include general obligations and responsibilities tradi- 13 tionally provided by the city of Niagara Falls. 14 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that 15 the amendments to section 99-h of the state finance law made by section 16 one of this act shall survive the expiration and reversion of such 17 section pursuant to chapter 747 of the laws of 2006.
