        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  civil  service law, in relation to enacting the
          "state workforce injury reduction act"
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  This  act  shall  be known and may be cited as the "state
     2  workforce injury reduction act".
     3    § 2. Section 7 of the civil service law is amended  by  adding  a  new
     4  subdivision 8 to read as follows:
     5    8.  Each  state  agency  referenced in the annual report issued by the
     6  president pursuant to subdivision six of this section  shall,  beginning
     7  with  the  report  issued  in two thousand nineteen and every other year
     8  thereafter, within one hundred eighty days after receipt of such  report
     9  submit  to  the president a written action plan for reducing occurrences
    10  of such injuries in the coming year. Upon receipt of  such  action  plan
    11  but no later than two hundred forty days after issuing the report pursu-
    12  ant  to  subdivision  six  of this section, the president shall issue an
    13  addendum to the report with a summary of all of the action plans submit-
    14  ted by each affected state agency to the governor, the temporary  presi-
    15  dent  of  the  senate and the speaker of the assembly. In any case where
    16  one or multiple  collective  bargaining  units  are  present  within  an
    17  affected  state  agency,  the  state agency shall include the collective
    18  bargaining representative in any discussions on reports issued  pursuant
    19  to  this  subdivision. Nothing in this subdivision shall be construed to

     1  conflict with a  state  agency's  responsibility  to  bargain  with  the
     2  collective  bargaining  representative  pursuant  to article fourteen of
     3  this chapter.
     4    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
