AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to appointment of election
inspectors by minority parties
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. Section 8-202 of the election law is amended by adding a
2 new subdivision 3 to read as follows:
3 3. IN ADDITION TO ELECTION INSPECTORS AS APPOINTED BY THE MAJOR POLI-
4 TICAL PARTIES PURSUANT TO SECTION 3-400 OF THIS CHAPTER, EACH MINORITY
5 PARTY SHALL BE ENTITLED TO APPOINT ONE ELECTION INSPECTOR WHO SHALL
6 POSSESS ALL OF THE POWERS OF INSPECTORS OF THE MAJORITY PARTY AND WHOSE
7 DUTIES SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND BOARD OF INSPECTORS
8 ACTING PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION.
9 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
