       AN ACT to amend the public health law,  in  relation  to  directing  the
         department  of health to establish and maintain an internet website to
         advance women's health initiatives
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Article 2 of the public health law is amended by adding a
    2  new title 6 to read as follows:
    3                                   TITLE VI
    4                               WOMEN'S HEALTH
    5  SECTION 266. DEPARTMENT WEBSITE.
    6    S 266. DEPARTMENT WEBSITE. THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN
    7  AN INTERNET WEBSITE FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADVANCING WOMEN'S  HEALTH  INITI-
    8  ATIVES.  THE  WEBSITE  SHALL  PROVIDE  INFORMATION  FOR  THE PURPOSES OF
    9  EDUCATING THE PUBLIC, RAISING AWARENESS OF  WOMEN'S  HEALTH  ISSUES  AND
   10  PROVIDING LINKS TO USEFUL RESOURCES. SUCH WEBSITE SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT
   11  BE  LIMITED  TO,  INFORMATION  DETAILING  THE  EXPANSION OF PREVENTATIVE
   12  COVERAGE FOR WOMEN'S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING PROVIDED  FOR  UNDER  FEDERAL
   13  AND  STATE  LAW. THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ALSO CONSIDER MAKING USE OF SOCIAL
   14  MEDIA NETWORKS FOR THE PURPOSES OF ADVANCING SUCH INITIATIVES.
   15    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
