         on Transportation
       AN  ACT to establish a high speed E-ZPass lane at all toll booths in New
         York state
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  The New York state thruway authority and the metropolitan
    2  transportation authority are hereby authorized and directed to establish
    3  at least one high speed lane at all toll booths in the state for E-ZPass
    4  use.
    5    S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
    6  it shall have become a law, provided, however, that the New  York  state
    7  thruway  authority  and  the metropolitan transportation authority shall
    8  promulgate any rules and regulations necessary for the implementation of
    9  this act on or before such effective date.
