STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 3083 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY February 2, 2023 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. RA -- read once and referred to the Committee on Labor AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to requiring certain elected officials to sign and publicly post a certificate proving they completed their sexual harassment training program The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 201-g of the labor law is amended by adding a new 2 subdivision 5 to read as follows: 3 5. Upon completion of a sexual harassment training program, the gover- 4 nor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, comptroller and members of 5 the state legislature shall sign a certificate under penalty of perjury 6 attesting to the individual's completion of such sexual harassment 7 training program. The governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, 8 and comptroller shall each post on their website a copy of their signed 9 certification within thirty days of completion of such training. The 10 secretary of the New York state senate shall post on the New York state 11 senate governmental website a copy of each member's signed certification 12 within thirty days of completion of such training. The clerk of the New 13 York state assembly shall post on the New York state assembly govern- 14 mental website a copy of each member's signed certification within thir- 15 ty days of completion of such training. 16 § 2.
