       AN ACT to amend the tax law, in relation to exempting the sales  tax  on
         alternative fuels used for home heating purposes
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 1115 of the tax law  is  amended
    2  by adding a new paragraph 44 to read as follows:
    3    (44)  ALTERNATIVE FUELS USED FOR HOME HEATING PURPOSES, INCLUDING, BUT
    4  NOT LIMITED TO WOOD PELLETS, CORN AND ETHANOL.
    5    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply to taxable
    6  years on or after January first of the  year  in  which  it  shall  have
    7  become a law.
