        Introduced by M. of A. E. BROWN -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Ways and Means

        AN  ACT  making  an  appropriation to the Island Park School District to
          offset a loss of tax revenue

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  The sum of seven million dollars ($7,000,000), or so much
     2  thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the  Island  Park
     3  School  District  out of any moneys in the state treasury in the general
     4  fund to the credit of the local assistance account, not otherwise appro-
     5  priated, and one million dollars of  which  shall  be  made  immediately
     6  available,  and one million dollars shall be made available each year on
     7  July first for six subsequent years, for the purpose of stabilizing  the
     8  Island  Park  School District and offsetting a loss of tax revenue. Such
     9  moneys shall be payable on the audit and warrant of the  comptroller  to
    10  such school district as prescribed by law.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
