STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 468 2019-2020 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY (Prefiled) January 9, 2019 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. STIRPE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Libraries and Education Technology AN ACT in relation to removing library taxes of the East Syracuse-Minoa central school district from real property located in that portion of such school district that is located within the Northern Onondaga public library district The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the East Syra- 2 cuse-Minoa central school district, located in the town of Cicero, coun- 3 ty of Onondaga, shall not impose any library tax for the support of the 4 school district library upon any parcel of real property located within 5 such school district which is also located within the Northern Onondaga 6 public library district and subject to real property taxes to support 7 such library district. For all purposes, any real property removed from 8 the library portion of East Syracuse-Minoa central school district taxes 9 pursuant to this act shall be deemed to be within the service area of 10 the Northern Onondaga public library district established pursuant to 11 chapter 515 of the laws of 1995 and shall be subject to taxation for the 12 support of such. 13 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply to assess- 14 ment rolls prepared on the basis of taxable status dates occurring on or 15 after such date.
