Summary

This legislation is intended to reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions as well as make energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements more affordable to homeown- ers and businesses within Nassau County. Accordingly, it authorizes Nassau County to offer sustainable energy loans to help homeowners and businesses within the county finance the installation of distributed generation renewable energy sources (energy that is generated close to the point of use) and/or energy efficiency improvements.
