Summary

The purpose of this legislation is to encourage the proper use of all terrain vehicles (ATVs) on private land in New York State, enhance registration requirements, provide money for increased enforcement and reparations for ATV damage to property, as well as provide for increased penalties for the illegal operation of ATVs.

Title

An act to amend the parks, recreation and historic preservation law, the state finance law, the vehicle and traffic law and the environmental conservation law, in relation to the all terrain vehicle trail development, maintenance and enforcement fund and to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to the enforcement of the operation of all terrain vehicles and to the registration of such vehicles; and to repeal certain provisions of the vehicle and traffic law relating thereto
