STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven

AN ACT relative to municipal liability for dog bites.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Repeal. The following are repealed:

I. RSA 466:21, relative to the liability of towns or cities for damages caused by dogs.

II. RSA 466:22, relative to enforcement of statements of damage done by dogs as presented to municipal officers.

III. RSA 466:23, lawsuits against municipalities regarding damages caused by dogs.

IV. RSA 466:24, relative to costs of lawsuits regarding damage caused by dogs.

V. RSA 466:25, relative to payment of orders in lawsuits regarding damages caused by dogs.

VI. RSA 466:26, relative to the recovery of damages by a municipality from a dog owner.

VII. RSA 466:27, relative to reasonable efforts to recover damages caused by dogs from dog owners.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
