A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to cap the variable wholesale component of the Motor Fuels Tax rate.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding G.S. 105‑449.80(a), for the period July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2013, the variable wholesale component of the motor fuel excise tax rate may not exceed fifteen cents (15¢) a gallon.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
