A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT allowing school‑Based Health Centers to offer contraceptive services.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 115C‑81(e1)(9) reads as rewritten:

"(9)      Contraceptives, including condoms and other devices, shall not be made available or distributed on school property. This subdivision does not apply to a school‑based health center as defined in 42 U.S.C. § 1397jj(c)(9)."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
