Short Title:        LEA Flexibility for Supplemental Pay.		(Public)

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to PERMIT LOCAL BOARDS OF EDUCATION TO USE STATE FUNDS FOR SUPPLEMENTAL SALARIES AND DIFFERENTIAL PAY FOR SCHOOL PERSONNEL.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 115C‑105.25 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:

"(a1)     Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b) of this section, the State Board of Education shall permit local boards of education to transfer, at the discretion of the local board, any available State funds into an allotment category to provide supplemental salaries and differential pay for school personnel."

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2015.
