A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to the board of governors of the university of north carolina to improve the national ranking of the college of engineering at north carolina Agricultural and technical state university.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina the sum of two million dollars ($2,000,000) for the 2010‑2011 fiscal year to improve the national ranking of the College of Engineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University by retaining faculty, recruiting high quality students and additional support staff, and providing funds to enhance the research infrastructure.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2010.
