A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND CONGRATULATING THE SALTILLO HIGH SCHOOL "TIGERS" COED CHEERLEADER SQUAD AND TEAM CHEER COACH STEPHANIE BOX FOR WINNING FIRST PLACE IN THE MHSAA STATE CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP.

WHEREAS, the Saltillo High School Tigers Cheerleaders won First Place State Cheer Championship in the Division 1 Coed at the Mississippi High School Activities Association State Championship in Jackson, Mississippi, on December 18, 2015; and

WHEREAS, this Championship Team also won Sixth Place in Large Varsity Coed at the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida, on February 6, 2016; and

WHEREAS, the 2015-2016 Saltillo Cheerleaders: Seniors: Elise Benson-Captain, Bailey Malvano Hall, Morgan O'Callaghan-Leader, Katelynn Stidham-Tillo and Alyssa Tutor; Juniors: Jaylon Carter-Leader, Taylor Crockett, Charlie Googe, Sarah Grace Hutchinson-Leader, Dylan Rawson, Tyler Roberts, Marlon Sanders, Mya Standifer, Jocelyn Staples, Sloan Wallis and Khaki Wilbanks; Sophomores: Cara Cox, Morgan Hester, Brian Huckaby, Jillian McCollum and Addie Priest-Leader; Freshmen: Tesla Busby, Erica Cottongin, Claire Evans, Lara Grace Fair, Erin Ford, Chamberlyn Grubbs, Katelyn Justice, Katey Kemp, Emma Pettey, Mary Ashton Priest, Madi Raper-Leader and Mary Grace Russell; and Stephanie Box, Cheer Coach; and

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we commend this group of students whose achievement has brought honor to their school, their community and to the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby recognize and congratulate the Saltillo High School "Tigers" Coed Cheerleader Squad for winning First Place in the MHSAA State Cheerleading Championship, and extend to the team, coaches, parents and sponsors our best wishes for future success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to the 2015-2016 Saltillo High School Cheerleaders and their Team Cheer Coach Stephanie Box, forwarded to Saltillo Principal Tim DeVaughn and the Lee County Board of Education, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
