Senate Bill 2395

AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 60, CHAPTER 572, LAWS OF 2004, AS LAST AMENDED BY SECTION 58, CHAPTER 559, LAWS OF 2010, WHICH ESTABLISHES A REPEAL DATE ON THOSE STATUTES THAT ESTABLISH AND PRESCRIBE THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE MISSISSIPPI WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD AND TRANSFERS THE MISSISSIPPI EMPLOYMENT SECURITY COMMISSION TO THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT SECURITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 60, Chapter 572, Laws of 2004, as amended by Section 58, Chapter 30, Laws of the First Extraordinary Session of 2008, and Section 58, Chapter 559, Laws of 2010, which establishes a July 1, 2011, repeal date on those statutes that establish and prescribe the membership of the Mississippi Workforce Investment Board and transfers the Mississippi Employment Security Commission to the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, is repealed.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2011.
