A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE MERITORIOUS SERVICE OF LIEUTENANT COLONEL DENISE R. HALL FOR HER UNPARALLELED COMMITMENT TO THIS COUNTRY AS A MEMBER OF THE MISSISSIPPI NATIONAL GUARD AND CONGRATULATING HER UPON HER RETIREMENT AS COLONEL DENISE R. HALL.

     WHEREAS, Lieutenant Colonel Denise R. Hall has dedicated years of unparalleled service to this state and country as a member of the Mississippi National Guard, but has made the difficult decision to retire effective August 1, 2023; and

     WHEREAS, upon her retirement, she will be placed on the Mississippi National Guard Retired List as Colonel Denise R. Hall; and

     WHEREAS, over the last 15 years, as the 183rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron's Senior Health Technician, Lieutenant Colonel Hall has provided exemplary leadership by overseeing daily operations of the squadron, managing its full-time staff, and developing an optimum workflow, budget, and plans for 106 traditional members; and

     WHEREAS, she has faithfully and honorably served the 172nd Airlift Wing and the State of Mississippi since joining in 2005, amassed 997 hours with 68 combat sorties as a C-17 co-pilot and 183rd Airlift Squadron Executive Officer and courageously clocked 291.1 combat hours flying strategic airlift operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom earning herself two Air Medals and one Aerial Achievement Medal for her flying operations; and

     WHEREAS, she spent countless hours executing squadron functions and maintaining the health, morale and welfare of everyone to whom she was assigned, and during her tenure, the unit achieved unprecedented accomplishments in multiple MAJCOM inspections, received the ANG AES of the year award twice, and deployed hundreds of members globally over numerous domestic and expeditionary operations; and

     WHEREAS, Lieutenant Colonel Hall was deployed three times in key leadership positions with the 183 AES, including 2013, when she was deployed to Camp Bastion and Kandahar, Afghanistan, where she was directly responsible for the disbandment of aeromedical operations at Camp Bastion and the relocation of her team to Kandahar for further patient movement operations; and

     WHEREAS, she is also a two-time Commander, 775th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Flight, Andrews, AFB, who has distinguished herself and her unit by providing superior leadership of three detachments, 52 personnel, and hundreds of transient crews which secured the teams' safe evacuation of thousands of injured, sick, and high-profile patients to their next level of care or home station; and

     WHEREAS, Lieutenant Colonel Hall's unrivaled leadership and passion for the people of the 183rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron immensely enhanced the culture of the organization creating a squadron that supports the unit's commitment and vision to lead the world in Aeromedical Evacuation capabilities by providing optimal training opportunities to strengthen aircrews and ground support; and

     WHEREAS, her devotion to duty, high level of expertise, leadership, and organizational skills, dedication to her commander and superior performance have contributed to the overall success of the 183rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron and the total force community; and

     WHEREAS, during Lieutenant Colonel Hall's time as the Senior Health Technician, she provided exemplary leadership, sustaining the mission of the unit by overseeing the day to day operations of the squadron, managing its full-time staff, and developing an optimum work flow allocation for the 106 traditional status service-members which all led to the squadron being awarded AE Squadron of the Year for the Air National Guard 2020/2021; and

     WHEREAS, she has also held other key leadership positions within the squadron including Medical Readiness Officer, Operations Support Flight Commander and Director of Operations, and under her leadership, the Medical Readiness Office was recognized as Air Force Medical Service Corps Readiness Program of the Year 2021 because she developed superior tools for her teams to ensure accountability, continuity, and overall compliance; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to honor the sacrifices of members of our Armed Forces, such as Lieutenant Colonel Hall, who have been stellar examples of professionalism and dedication, and who have demonstrated a high level of care for Airmen and the mission, and boosted the esprit de corps of all those around her:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend the meritorious service of Lieutenant Colonel Denise R. Hall who has demonstrated unparalleled commitment to the protection of this state, this country and the world as a member of the Mississippi National Guard, and congratulate her upon her retirement as Colonel Denise R. Hall.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Lieutenant Colonel Denise R. Hall, the 183rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron of the Mississippi National Guard and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
