A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MR. GREG CHAMBERS FOR RECEIVING A PATENT FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL NEW DEVICE FOR FEEDING LIVESTOCK.

     WHEREAS, Mr. Greg Chambers, a passionate farmer from Rienzi, Mississippi, was recently awarded a patent for an extraordinary new device for the collection, storage and selected delivery of livestock feed, which will positively impact the livestock industry; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Chambers, seeing a problem with the devices used to feed livestock, worked tirelessly until he came up with an unprecedented solution that will aid the farming industry; and

     WHEREAS, when he was a seven year old child, Mr. Chambers was mentored by Olen Ray Huddleston, who showed him how to farm and do carpentry work and taught him life skills that made Mr. Chambers the man he is today; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Chambers spent around 15 years with Olen Ray, becoming a sponge and soaking up the older man's knowledge of farm work; and

     WHEREAS, even though Mr. Chambers wanted to drop out of high school, Olen Ray taught him the importance of an education and made him earn his high school diploma, setting him on a path towards success; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Chambers now farms his own land, growing corn and soybeans, and raising cattle and goats on his 160 acres of farmland that adjoins his home, and he absolutely enjoys every minute of his time in the field; and

     WHEREAS, with a true love for farming, Mr. Chambers cannot see himself working for anyone but himself, getting his hands dirty and being proud of the hard work he has put into the soil; and

     WHEREAS, with this patent, Mr. Chambers hopes that he will have benefited not only his supportive wife and two children, but the entire State of Mississippi and the United States as well; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend outstanding Mississippians, such as Mr. Greg Chambers, whose innovative creation will help farmers better serve the people of this state:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby recognize and commend Mr. Greg Chambers for receiving a patent for his remarkable new livestock feeding device and extend best wishes for continued success in all of his future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Mr. Greg Chambers and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
