House Bill 1817

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF RANKIN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $750,000 FROM AVAILABLE COUNTY FUNDS TO TRUSTMARK PARK FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND TOURISM PURPOSES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Rankin County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute an amount not to exceed Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) from available county funds to the athletic facility known as Trustmark Park, a Minor League Baseball stadium which is located within the county and which provides economic development and tourism benefits to the county.

     (2)  This section shall be repealed from and after December 31, 2035.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
