AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HOLMES COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE FANNIE LOU HAMER CANCER FOUNDATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Holmes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute annually an amount not to exceed Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00), out of any available funds of the county, to the Fannie Lou Hamer Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to the eradication of cancer through education, support services, research and advocacy.
(2) This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2025.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
