House Bill 1462

(COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE)

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO HOME OF GRACE, THE MARY C. O'KEEFE CULTURAL CENTER OF ARTS AND EDUCATION AND PASCAGOULA RIVER AUDUBON CENTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute funds annually to the following organizations in amounts not to exceed the following:

     Home of Grace ................................. $25,000.00

     The Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural

         Center of Arts and Education............... $10,000.00

     Pascagoula River Audubon Center................ $ 5,000.00

     (2)  This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2021.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
