Summary

An Act To Provide That A Parent Or Legal Guardian Of A Minor Younger Than 18 Years Of Age, Or An Individual For Whom A Guardian Or Conservator Has Been Appointed, May Place A Security Freeze On The Consumer Report Of A Protected Consumer; To Provide That If No Consumer Report Exists, The Consumer Reporting Agency Shall Create A Record For The Protected Consumer And Place A Security Freeze On The Record; To Provide For The Removal Of The Security Freeze On The Protected Consumer's Record Or Report; To Authorize A Consumer Reporting Agency To Charge Certain Fees; To Authorize The Attorney General To Investigate Any Complaints Received Concerning Violations Of This Act; To Provide Administrative Penalties And Civil Remedies For Violations Of This Act; And For Related Purposes.
