Summary
An Act To Amend Section 23-15-549, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That If A Person Who Requires Assistance To Vote At Any Election Except A Federal Election By Reason Of Blindness, Disability Or Inability To Read Or Write Requests The Assistance Of An Election Official, He Must Be Assisted By Two Election Officials; The Voters Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Child, Or Certain Other Persons Of The Voters Choice Who Are Registered Voters; To Require Persons Who Assist Such A Voter To Be Registered Voters; To Provide That No Person, Other Than An Election Official, May Assist More Than 10 Voters In Any Election; To Provide That No Candidate In The Election, Or A Family Member Of Such Candidate Or Poll Watcher Of Such Candidate, May Assist A Voter; To Require Persons Who Assist A Voter To Complete A Declaration To Provide Voter Assistance Form; To Amend Section 23-15-719, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Form Of The Certificate Of Person Providing Voter Assistance To Persons Voting By Absentee Ballot; And For Related Purposes.
