Summary

An Act To Require The State Department Of Health To Revise Its Lead Poisoning Prevention Policies To Align With The Recommendations Of The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (cdc) For Lead Poisoning Prevention; To Require The Department To Identify Geographic Locations With High Risk Factors For Elevated Blood Lead Levels (ebll) In Children And Require Universal Screening And Testing In Those Areas For Children At Twelve And Twenty-four Months Of Age; To Require The Department To Lower The Threshold Of Ebll For Mandatory Lead Risk Assessments To 5.0 Micrograms Per Deciliter Of Blood; To Require The Department To Develop Centralized Web-based Data Resources For Lead Poisoning Information; And For Related Purposes.
