Summary
An Act To Amend Section 37-151-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Reenact And Amend The Provision Of Law Authorizing School Districts To Issue State Aid Capital Improvement Bonds Secured By A Continuing Annual Pledge Of Any Maep Funds Available To The School District, Which Was Repealed By Operation Of Law On June 30, 1998; To Provide That The Bonds Issued In The Reenacted Provision Shall Not Exceed $195.00 Per Pupil Based On The Latest Completed Average Daily Attendance Count Certified By The State Department Of Education; To Prescribe The Purposes For Which The Bonds May Be Issued; To Prescribe The Conditions Under Which The State Board Of Education Shall Approve Any Capital Expenditure Plan For A Pledge Of Funds; To Authorize School Districts To Repay The Bonds Issued With Funds Received By The District From The State; To Authorize The School District To Irrevocably Pledge Certain Revenue As Security For Bonds Issued Under This Act; To Provide For The Repeal Of This Reenacted Provision On June 30, 2018; And For Related Purposes.
