Summary
An Act To Amend Section 27-65-75, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide For The Payment Of An Additional Percentage Of Sales Tax Revenue Generated From Business Activities Within The City Of Jackson, Mississippi, To The City Of Jackson; To Provide That Such Payment To The City Of Jackson Is For The Purpose Of Assisting The City To Defray The Ad Valorem Tax Loss The City Sustains As A Result Of The State Ownership Of Property In The City, And For Defraying Increased Infrastructure And Public Safety Costs Incurred By The City As A Result Of Being The Seat Of State Government; To Provide That Monies Paid To The City Of Jackson Under This Act Shall Be Expended Solely For Road And Other Infrastructure Projects And Police And Fire Protection Services; And For Related Purposes.
