Summary

An Act To Amend Section 29-3-45, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Allow Local School Boards, Which Approve The Sales Of Timber And Forest Products Grown On Sixteenth Section Lands, To Enter Into Long-term Public Or Private Contracts For The Sale Of Certain Forest Products; To Amend Section 29-3-81, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Clarify The Authority Of Local School Boards To Lease Sixteenth Section Or In Lieu Lands Classified As Agricultural Land, Using Provisions Related To Best Farm Management Practices Established By The Secretary Of State In Consultation With Federal Agricultural Agencies And The Mississippi State University Extension Service; And For Related Purposes.
