Summary

An Act To Amend Section 43-13-117, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Direct The Division Of Medicaid To Establish A Medicaid Medical Home Shared Savings Program; To Require The Division To Contract With A Care Service Organization (cso) To Develop And Manage A Network Of Primary Care Providers To Deliver Advanced Care And Disease Management Services Through An Enhanced Primary Care Case Management Program In A Medicaid Medical Home Shared Savings Model; To Provide That All Medicaid Beneficiaries Who Use Primary Care Services Shall Be Enrolled In The Medicaid Medical Home Shared Savings Program; To Provide For The Payment Of Any Cost Savings As Shared Savings To Participating Providers, The Program Administrator And The State; To Provide That The Division Of Medicaid Shall Designate Five Percent Of Its Share Of The Shared Savings Generated By The Program For The Support Of The Primary Care Physicians Education Program; To Authorize The Division Of Medicaid To Apply For Necessary Federal Waivers; To Delete The 15% Beneficiary Limitation On Medicaid Managed Care Programs; To Extend The Repealer On The Medicaid Services Provision; And For Related Purposes.
