Summary
An Act To Create The "rational Use Of Product Act"; To Provide That A Seller Is Not Liable For Harm Caused By An Unreasonable Misuse Of Its Product; A Misused Product May Be Considered Defective In Design When The Reasonably Foreseeable Risks Of Harm Related To A Reasonable Misuse Of The Product Could Have Been Significantly Reduced Or Avoided By The Adoption Of An Alternative Design To Provide Definitions; To Provide That A Misused Product May Be Considered Defective Because Of Inadequate Instructions Or Warnings When The Reasonably Foreseeable Risks Of Harm Posed By A Reasonable Misuse Of The Product Could Have Been Significantly Reduced Or Avoided By Providing Additional Instructions Or Warnings; To Amend Section 11-1-63, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Act; And For Related Purposes.
