Summary

An Act To Amend Section 37-28-11, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Legislature To Provide An Annual General Fund Appropriation And Pins To The Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board To Support The Board's Operation; To Amend Section 37-28-55, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Procedures To Be Used In Calculating Charter School Funding For The Current Year And Reconciliation Of Funding Adjustments, Which Such Payment Would Be Applied To The Following Year Of Operation; To Require Charter Schools To Return A Proportionate Share Of Maep Funds To The Original School District Of Attendance If A Child Discontinues His Or Her Studies At The Charter School For The Remaining Months The Child Is Not Enrolled In The Charter School; And For Related Purposes.
