AN ACT

To amend chapter 8, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 8, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 8.935, to read as follows:

            8.935. In the event that the United States Secretary of the Interior conveys all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to all federal land, facilities, and any other assets associated with the Ozark National Scenic Riverways to the state of Missouri, the state shall offer such right, title, and interest in such land for purchase by any party that had any right, title, or interest in such land before such land was acquired by the Secretary. If no such party purchases such land, the state shall maintain the land, facilities, and assets conveyed to the state in substantially the same fashion as such land, facilities, and assets were being maintained by the United States Department of the Interior on the day before the date of the conveyance.
