AN ACT

To amend chapter 252, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to license and permit fees for certain nonresidents.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 252, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 252.054, to read as follows:

            252.054. 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law or administrative rule to the contrary, any nonresident student enrolled full-time in a public or private college, university, or technical school in this state offering an associate or bachelor degree program who applies for a hunting, trapping, or fishing license or permit issued by the department of conservation shall pay the same fee as a resident applicant for such license or permit.

            2. To increase awareness of the availability of hunting, trapping, and fishing licenses and fees to nonresident student applicants at the same fee as resident applicants in accordance with subsection 1 of this section, the department of conservation shall:

            (1) Publish such availability on the department website; and

            (2) In cooperation with all public and private colleges, universities, and technical schools in this state, promote such availability on the campuses of such colleges, universities, and technical schools.
