1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Elliot Young of Shoreview, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.4WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.5that is worthy of recognition; and
1.6WHEREAS, Elliot Young is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and has displayed the
1.7attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.8WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a
1.9community service project, which involved building a sandbox and benches for an early childhood
1.10education program at Pike Lake Elementary School in New Brighton; and
1.11WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 , at 2 p.m.
1.12at Presbyterian Church of the Way in Shoreview; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Elliot Young of Shoreview, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.16copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.17Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Elliot Young.
