1.2relating to transportation; highways; designating "Trooper Glen Skalman
1.3Memorial Highway";amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 161.14, by
1.4adding a subdivision.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 161.14, is amended by adding a
1.7subdivision to read:
1.8 Subd. 74. Trooper Glen Skalman Memorial Highway. That segment of signed
1.9U.S. Highway 61 from the intersection with signed U.S. Highway 8 in Forest Lake to
1.10the intersection with 260th Street in Wyoming is designated as "Trooper Glen Skalman
1.11Memorial Highway." Subject to section 161.139, the commissioner shall adopt a suitable
1.12design to mark this highway and erect appropriate signs in the vicinity of the location
1.13where Trooper Skalman died.
1.14EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
