1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; IMMIGRANT AND REFUGEE MENTAL
1.7HEALTH CONFERENCE.
1.8$75,000 in fiscal year 2015 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.9of health for planning and conducting a training conference on immigrant and refugee
1.10mental health issues. The training conference shall include a special emphasis on mental
1.11health concerns in the Somali immigrant community. The input of Somali and other
1.12immigrant community representatives, mental health advocates, and other stakeholders
1.13shall be sought during the planning of the training conference for identifying issues,
1.14research findings, and potential speakers.
