SENATE BILL No. 759

 

 

February 9, 2016, Introduced by Senators STAMAS, KNOLLENBERG, PAVLOV, HILDENBRAND and MARLEAU and referred to the Committee on Education.

 

 

 

     A bill to repeal 1931 PA 205, entitled

 

"An act to require the teaching of civics and political science in

high schools, county normals and colleges, to prohibit the granting

of diplomas, and degrees to students not successfully completing

said courses, and to provide penalties for the violation thereof,"

 

(MCL 388.372).

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Enacting section 1. 1931 PA 205, MCL 388.372, is repealed.

 

     Enacting section 2. This act takes effect 90 days after the

 

date it is enacted into law.
