SENATE BILL No. 705

 

 

December 4, 2013, Introduced by Senator JONES and referred to the Committee on Judiciary.

 

 

 

     A bill to amend 1939 PA 288, entitled

 

"Probate code of 1939,"

 

by amending section 17a of chapter XIIA (MCL 712A.17a).

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

CHAPTER XIIA

 

     Sec. 17a. In any case in which a record of the hearing is kept

 

by a recording device, no a transcription need be made of the

 

hearing need not be made in the absence of a request by an

 

interested party. The tape recording of the hearing shall be stored

 

as a permanent record of the court maintained as prescribed by

 

rules of the supreme court.
