A bill to amend 1994 PA 203, entitled
"Foster care and adoption services act,"
(MCL 722.951 to 722.960) by adding section 4e.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 4e. Before determining placement of a child in its care,
a supervising agency shall give special consideration to
information that a child may be the victim of human trafficking.
The supervising agency may find that reunification, adoption, or
other traditional foster care services may not be suitable for the
child who is a victim of human trafficking and may determine and
provide other necessary services for this child.
