HOUSE BILL No. 5724

 

 

March 15, 2018, Introduced by Rep. Inman and referred to the Committee on Agriculture.

 

     A bill to amend 2000 PA 92, entitled

 

"Food law,"

 

(MCL 289.1101 to 289.8111) by adding section 6142.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 6142. A food service establishment shall not use latex

 

gloves in handling or preparing food unless the establishment

 

prominently displays a notice bearing the following message:

 

"Allergy Warning: This food service establishment uses latex gloves

 

in handling and preparing food.".

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.
