A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled
"The revised school code,"
(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1307a.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1307a. Not later than December 1, 2016, the department
shall develop a state policy establishing a schoolwide positive
behavioral intervention and support plan that includes all of the
elements under sections 1307c to 1307g. Not later than the
beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, the board of a school
district or intermediate school district or board of directors of a
public school academy shall adopt and implement a local policy that
is consistent with the state policy under this section.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect
unless all of the following bills of the 98th Legislature are
enacted into law:
