Honan relative to discipline in the public schools and establishing alternative education programs, the petition (accompanied by bill House, No. 436) of Viriato Manuel deMacedo, Bradley H. Jones, Jr. and others for an investigation by a special commission (including members of the General Court) relative to improving the teacher licensure process, the petition (accompanied by bill House, No. 486) of James B. Ordered , That the Joint Committee on Education be authorized to sit during a recess of the General Court to make an investigation and study of house documents numbered 352, 420, 425, 431, 436, 486, 3428, 3435, and 3659 relative to education issues.
Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives on or before December 31, 2010.
