Summary

Create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to permit a school-based decision making council or principal of a public middle or high school to adopt a physical education curriculum that includes a program of hunting, fishing, trapping, and firearm safety instruction; require the Board of Education to consult with the Department of Fish and Wildlife to promulgate standards for such a program; require the Department of Education to develop guidelines for such a program; require parents to be given notice and opportunity to opt a student out of such a program.
