Synopsis: Automated record keeping fee. Provides that in all civil, criminal, infraction, and ordinance violation actions, the clerk of the court shall collect an automated record keeping fee in the following amounts: (1) $7 before July 1, 2011. (2) $10 after June 30, 2011, and before July 1, 2015. (3) $7 after June 30, 2015. (The introduced version of this bill was prepared by the commission on courts.)

Effective: July 1, 2011.

SENATE BILL No. 301



    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning courts and court officers.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 33-37-5-21; (11)IN0301.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 33-37-5-21, AS AMENDED BY P.L.182-2009(ss), SECTION 394, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011]: Sec. 21. (a) This section applies to all civil, criminal, infraction, and ordinance violation actions.
    (b) The clerk shall collect an automated record keeping fee as follows:
        (1) Seven dollars ($7) after June 30, 2003, and before July 1, 2011.
        (2) Four Ten dollars ($4) ($10) after June 30, 2011, and before July 1, 2015.
        (3) Seven dollars ($7) after June 30, 2015.
