    A HOUSE RESOLUTION recognizing the work of Dr. Michael A. Griffin, Pastor of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Fort Wayne.
    
    Whereas, Dr. Michael Aaron Griffin was born on September 2^nd, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois;

    Whereas, Dr. Griffin graduated from Gordon Technical High School in Chicago, and received a degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Growth from the Lay Bible Academy in Madison, Illinois, before receiving a Master's of Theology in Religious Education from the Gospel Ministry Outreach Theological Institute in Houston, Texas, and a Doctorate of Divinity from Morris-Booker Memorial College in Dermott, Arkansas;

    Whereas, Dr. Griffin entered the ministry in 1987, receiving his ordination as a pastor in 1992 and serving as the pastor of the Kendrick Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago from 1992 until 1997, and as the pastor of the Spirit Redeemed

Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago from 1997 until 2009, before leading the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Fort Wayne from 2009 until the present; and,

    Whereas, In addition to his 50^th birthday, 2012 marks two other important milestones for Dr. Griffin, twenty-five years of preaching the Gospel, and twenty years of service as a pastor: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives recognizes the work of Dr. Michael A. Griffin on behalf of his community and his congregation, first in Chicago and now in Fort Waye, thanks him for his lifetime of dedicated service to his neighbors, and sincerely wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Dr. Michael Griffin.
