A HOUSE RESOLUTION to honor the hard work of Mike
Cannon of Pendleton.
Whereas, Mike Cannon has worked as a groundskeeper at
Falls Park in Pendleton for 24 years;
Whereas, Mr. Cannon's responsibilities are considerable,
extending to the upkeep and maintenance of the whole park and
its installations, and include planting flowers, weeding, and
trash pick-up, requiring his presence at the Park seven days a
week;
Whereas, Pendleton Town Council President Don
Henderson and Town Manager Doug McGee have recently
made public acknowledgments of Mr. Cannon's hard work and
praised his tireless dedication to his community, with Mr.
McGee placing all of the responsibility for the Park's excellent
condition on Mr. Cannon's shoulders; and,
Whereas, Mr. Cannon was recently named Citizen of the
Year by the Pendleton Lion's Club: Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives
congratulates Mark Cannon on being named Pendleton's Citizen of the
Year, commends him for his long-standing commitment and dedication
to Falls Park, and thanks him for all of his hard work in the service of
his neighbors and his community.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Mark Cannon.
