RESOLUTION
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring Jim Argerbright.
Whereas, Jim Argerbright was a valued member of the
Whitley County Economic Development Corporation, and he
participated in every major community initiative and
economic development project for the past 20 years;
Whereas, Some projects spearheaded by Jim Argerbright
were the extension of the sewer and water infrastructure in
the U.S. 30 industrial corridor, the establishment of Park 30
Business Center and Rail Connect Business Park, and the
attraction of high growth companies like Chromasource,
Steel Dynamics, and Triad Metals to the local business
community;
Whereas, A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in
agricultural economics, Jim Argerbright serves as Vice
President of commercial and agriculture lending for STAR
Financial Bank;
Whereas, In addition to his service on the Whitley County
Economic Development Corporation, Jim Argerbright has
contributed to his community with his involvement in the
Whitley County Redevelopment Commission, where he
currently serves as Vice Chairman; the Whitley County
Ducks Unlimited; and Whitley County 4-H Auctions, where
he serves as Chairman;
Whereas, Jim Argerbright served on the Whitley County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors
from 2005-2011, holding the positions of Vice Chairman and
Treasurer during that time; and
Whereas, Jim Argerbright has served his community with
distinction and honor: Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly acknowledges the
many contributions made by Jim Argerbright and encourages him to
continue working for the good of the community and its citizens.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Jim Argerbright.
