Summary

Provides that there shall be neither slavery nor involuntary servitude within Indiana. Provides that the Constitution of the State of Indiana does not prohibit the use of correctional practices: (1) for the reformation of individuals who have been duly convicted of crimes; and (2) that are consistent with the provisions of the Constitution of the State of Indiana and the Constitution of the United States that prohibit cruel and unusual punishments.
