Summary

Building codes. Requires the fire prevention and building safety commission (commission) to adopt a statewide residential code to be known as the Indiana Residential Code. Requires the commission to provide access to the statewide residential code on the commission's Internet web site. Prohibits a state agency or political subdivision from enforcing standards that exceed those established in the statewide residential code. Requires the commission to establish a review committee to make recommendations for amendments to the statewide residential code and provide a report on any fiscal impact of the recommended amendments.
